Meet your dentist
Dr. Safwan Joseph Nano
Dr. Safwan Joseph Nano has dedicated his career to delivering dentistry that blends advanced technology with exceptional patient care. Originally from New York City, Dr. Nano earned his dental degree from New York University. Soon after graduation, he and his wife moved to Maine, where they’ve built a family, raising three boys and a girl, and one of the region’s most advanced dental practices.
Dr. Nano has nearly 20 years of experience and is an active member of the Maine Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. He has always been passionate about staying ahead of the curve, investing in dental technology long before it became mainstream. Following a devastating fire in 2019, he reinvested heavily to rebuild his office with the latest equipment, including CEREC same-day crown technology, 3D imaging, AI-driven diagnostics, and in-house milling and printing machines.
What sets Dr. Nano apart is not just the tools he uses but how he uses them. From same-day crowns and bridges to full mouth reconstructions and guided implant surgery, Dr. Nano designs, places, and restores complex cases himself, saving patients time and giving them peace of mind. His ability to provide complete, same-day care means patients can walk in with a problem and leave with a confident smile, often in a single visit.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Nano enjoys running, traveling, attending local concerts, and exploring Maine’s dining scene. But above all, his greatest joy comes from helping patients achieve healthy, lasting smiles through a future-focused approach to dental care.
